The Friendship Fire Company #1 announces with deep regret the passing of Past Secretary James Welch. James joined the Friendship Fire Company #1 August 28,1975 and held line number 485. Growing up in Woodbury Jim was an active member of the fire company for many years before moving to Pennsylvania. In 2002 Jim took on the roll as the Company’s Secretary traveling back and forth for many years, this was a position he held until his retirement in 2019. Jim is credited with 47 years of service to the Company. Our sympathy is extended to the family.
